ANGELES CITY- Tinawag ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) ang aerial operation na isinagawa ng Philippine Army sa Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Vizcaya noong Huwebes, Hunyo 20, laban sa New People’s Army (NPA) na “fake encounter.”
Sa website nito, sinabi ng CPP noong Sabado na dalawang military helicopters ang nagbagsak ng pampasabog at nagpaputok ng kanilang mga baril sa bayan ng Alfonso Castañeda sa pagitan ng alas-12:30 at ala-1:45 ng madaling araw.
Subalit, sinabi ng grupo na walang naganap na engkwentro sa pagitan ng pwersa ng pamahalaan at ng NPA.
Hindi sinabi ng communist organization kung mayroong NPA fighters sa lugar nang maganap ang aerial assault.
Noong Biyernes, inilarawan ng Army ang aerial attack sa bulubunduking bahagi ng Abuyo sa Alfonso Castañeda na pagsawata sa “communist terrorist group’s criminal activities,” tinutukoy ang NPA, ang armed wing ng CPP.
Sa pahayag sa social media page nito, sinabi ng 703rd Agila Brigade ng Philippine Army na inilunsad ang aerial operation sa partikular na target location sa Sitio Marikit sa Abuyo.
Kasunod ang aksyong ito ng pagkakatanggap ng impormasyon mula sa concerned citizens hinggil sa presensya ng mga armadong kalalakihan.
“Before the Army’s combat and aerial operations, people in the community reported the presence and criminal activities of the members of the CTG (communist terrorist group) in the area to the authorities,” anito.
“The CTGs were believed to be heavily armed and coming from the Kilusang Larangang Guerrilla Tarlac – Zambales, regrouped themselves for a specific task targeting the areas declared as in a state of Stable Internal Peace and Security,” pahayag ng army brigade.
Binanggit ng 703rd Brigade na inilikas ang mga residente ng nasabing lugar.
Inilahad naman ni Brigadier General Joseph Norwin Pasamonte, 703rd Infantry Brigade commander, na walang nasaktan sa operasyon.
“Our top priority is the safety of the people in the community. We assured the public that no innocent civilians were hurt during the operation,” giit ng opisyal.
“A total of 49 families were safely evacuated with the assistance of the Alfonso Castañeda LGU (local government unit),” dagdag niya. RNT/SA
