2 NPA financiers kinasuhan ng DOJ

MANILA, Philippines – Kinasuhan ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang dalawa umanong miyembro ng Communist Party of the Philippines/New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) na sinasabing responsable sa pagkolekta ng revolutionary funds at pagpondo ng terorismo.

Ang mga suspek na sina Leonor Taguinod Dumlao at Valentin Cruz Tolentino ay ipinagharap ng kasong paglabag sa Section 8 ng R.A. No. 10168 o Terrorism Financing Prevention and Suppression Act of 2012 (TFPSA).

Sa reklamo ng Philippine National Police –Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG), ang dalawang suspek ay nahulihan ng iba’t ibang uri ng
firearms at ammunition.

Nagsagawa ng background checks ang
National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at Intelligence Service ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) para makakuha sa korte ng search warrants.

Nadiskubre ng mga otoridad ang iba’t ibang firearms, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), IED components, at pera.

“Further investigation also revealed that Dumlao and Tolentino are members of the National Finance Commission (NFC) of the CPP/NPA which had direct involvement in demanding money from construction firms, telecommunication companies, bus companies, mining companies and businessmen in guised as “revolutionary taxes.”

Nabatid na ang dalawa ang nasa likod ng pagbuo ng National Economic Striking Force (NESF) ng CPP/NPA na nagsisilbing security ng “Rebolusyonaryong Buwis sa Kaaway na Uri” o RBKU.
