MANILA, Philippines – Patuloy na minomonitor ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang nasa 45 potential private armed groups (PAGs) kasabay ng papalapit na 2023 barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan elections sa Oktubre, ayon kay PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. nitong Lunes, Hunyo 6.
Ani Acorda, ang mga grupong ito ay binubuo ng nasa 200 miyembro na may 400 armas.
“Ahead of the October election, PNP units in six regions of the country are continuously monitoring the activities of 3 active private armed groups and 45 potential PAGs with an [estimated] more or less 200 members with almost 400 firearms that may be used for partisan activities in the 2023 BSKE,” sinabi ni Acorda sa press briefing na isinagawa sa Camp Crame, Quezon City.
