MANILA, Philippines- Inaprubahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang five-year national policy na ayon sa kanyang administrasyon ay makatutulong sa pagtugon sa security challenges sa pamamagitan ng paghahanay ng lahat ng magkakaugnay na istratehiya.
Nakasaad sa Executive Order (EO) No. 37, nilagdaan ni Marcos noong Huwebes at ipinalabas nitong Sabado, na magbibigay ang National Security Policy (NSP) 2023-2028 ng “guidance and a comprehensive approach to improving security sector governance.
Base sa National Security Council, naglalaman ito ng statement of principles na nagtatakda sa policy goals at objectives ng kasalukuyang adminstrasyon upang protektahan ang national interests, kabilang ang soberanya at territorial integrity.
Iniatas ng Pangulo sa lahat ng national government agencies at instrumentalities, kasama ang local government units, na i-adopt ang NSP sa pagbuo at pagpapatupad ng kanilang security-related programs.
“There is a need to harmonize the national security efforts of the Government and ensure that they are responsive and complementary to the development goals and objectives set forth in the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028,” base sa EO. Kris Jose
