MANILA, Philippines- Mayroong walong aplikante ang nagsumite ng kanilang aplikasyon para maging bahagi ng board of directors ng Maharlika Investment Corp. (MIC).
Sinabi ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman: “Yung info na nabigay sakin nung una, but this was two weeks ago when we started, parang there’s already seven to eight… Private mostly, walang government.”
Ang MIC ay isang government-owned company na inatasan na mangasiwa sa Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF), paglalagakan ng mga government resources na ipupuhunan sa high-impact projects, real estate, at financial instruments.
Nanawagan ang Presidential Communications Office ng aplikasyon at nominasyon noong Setyembre 12, 2023, na may requirements na nakapaskil sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM) website.
Ang deadline para sa aplikasyon ay sa Setyembre 7.
Winika ni Pangandaman na ang rekomendasyon ay nakatakdang isumite kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa susunod na Lunes, Oktubre 2.
Aniya, tatlo na ang nagsumite para sa posisyon ng presidente at CEO, subalit may ibang aplikasyon ang natanggap matapos na magbigay ng update ang Kalihim.
“The advisory body for the MIC counts as members the secretaries of the DBM and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), and the national treasurer,” ayon sa DBM.
“The MIC Board counts as members the Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary as the ex-officio chairperson, along with the respective president and CEOs of the Land Bank of the Philippines and the Development Bank of the Philippines,” ayon pa rin sa departamento.
Sa kabilang dako, ang anim na kandidato na irerekomenda kay Pangulong Marcos ay kinabibilangan ng MIC president at CEO, dalawang regular directors, at tatlong independent directors. Kris Jose
