MANILA, Philippines – Inaasahang makabubuo ng nasa 8,000 job opportunities para sa mga Pinoy ang P150 bilyon na substantial returns sa biyahe ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa Japan.
Si Marcos ay inaasahang tutulak patungong Tokyo simula bukas, Pebrero 8 hanggang 12.
“In the president’s visit to Japan, we are expecting that substantial returns in terms of new projects, the value of which we currently estimate at P150 billion, and we estimate too that these will generate employment for 8,000 Filipinos,” sinabi ni Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene Garcia-Albano sa panayam ng ANC nitong Martes, Pebrero 7.
Idinagdag pa ni Garcia-Albano na makikipagkita si Marcos sa mga top executives at chairperson ng mga kompanya sa Japan na tumututok sa electronics, semiconductors, printers at wiring harness manufacturing.
“These sectors comprise the bulk of our industrial relations with Japan,” sinabi pa ni Garcia-Albano.
“They will discuss how the private sector, the Japanese investor companies, the government and other stakeholders can work more closely together to ensure the success of these businesses in the Philippines,” pagpapatuloy nito.
Nauna nang sinabi ng Department of Foreign Affairs na nasa pitong bilateral agreements ang pipirmahan ng pamahalaan ng Pilipinas at Japan kasabay ng pagbisita ng Pangulo.
Samantala, sinabi rin ng ahensya na hindi pag-uusapan sa pulong nina Marcos at Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida ang isyu patungkol sa deportation ng apat na puganteng Hapon na nasa Pilipinas. RNT/JGC
