MANILA, Philippines – Itinaas ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Camarines Sur ang red alert status dahil sa banta ng isang low-pressure area (LPA) na posibleng magdala ng malakas na ulan at pagbaha.
Ayon kay Gov. Luis Raymund “Lray” Villafuerte, epektibo ang red alert status mula alas-5 ng umaga nitong Lunes, Agosto 25 bilang bahagi ng preemptive measures ng Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC).
“With the declaration of red alert, all local DRRM councils and response agencies are directed to activate their emergency protocols and operate on a 24/7 basis,” pahayag ng gobernador.
Posibleng ipatupad ang preemptive at forced evacuation sa mga mababang lugar at high-risk areas, dagdag niya.
Mahigpit ding ipinatutupad ang water safety protocols kabilang ang pagbabawal sa paglangoy, pagtawid sa ilog o dagat, at operasyon ng maliliit na bangka habang umiiral ang alerto.
Sinabi rin ni Villafuerte na maaaring magpatupad ng localized class at work suspensions depende sa lagay ng panahon sa bawat bayan.
