MANILA, Philippines – Itinaas ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 (TCWS) sa 27 lugar sa Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao habang papalapit ang Tropical Depression Verbena sa Caraga region nitong Lunes ng umaga, Nobyembre 24.

Huling namataan ang bagyong Verbena sa layong 205 kilometro silangan timog silangan ng Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
Taglay nito ang lakas ng hangin na aabot sa 45 kilometro kada oras at pagbugso na hanggang 55 kilometro kada oras.
Kumikilos ito sa direksyong pa-kanluran sa bilis na 15 kilometro kada oras.
“It is forecast to make landfall over the Caraga Region this afternoon or evening. Afterwards, it will accelerate across the Visayas and the northern portion of Palawan between tonight and tomorrow evening before emerging over the West Philippine Sea on Wednesday (26 November) morning,” ayon sa PAGASA.
“Verbena may slightly intensify prior to landfall but will likely cross the Visayas as a tropical depression. It may reach tropical storm category either before reaching northern Palawan or once over the West Philippine Sea,” dagdag ng PAGASA.
“Verbena may peak at severe tropical storm category in the middle of the West Philippine Sea.” RNT/JGC
