MANILA, Philippines – Inilunsad ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ang Benteng Bigas Masterlist (BBM) Registry System, isang digital platform na naka-disenyo para padaliin at gawing simple ang operasyon ng P20-per-kilo rice program.
Binuo ng Information and Communications Technology Service (DA-ICTS) ang naturang sistema na bahagi ng aktibidad ng ahensya para sa Rice Awareness Month.
“After testing conducted last month, we are now ready to deploy the P20 Registry System, which will ultimately serve approximately 15 million households — equivalent to about 60 million Filipinos — benefiting from the subsidized rice initiative,” pahayag ni Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr.
“This project is a clear example of how the DA can leverage technology to modernize Philippine agriculture and food security,” dagdag pa niya.
Ayon sa DA, nagbibigay ang P20 rice program ng stable market para sa locally produced rice, kung saan binibili ng National Food Authority ang mga bigas sa maayos na presyo.
Ani Tiu Laurel, nagbibigay-daan ang online system para sa paglawak ng program sa iba pang sektor katulad ng mga guro, security guards, at transport workers kabilang ang bus drivers at delivery riders.
Samantala, sinabi ni DA-ICTS Chief Honorio Flameño na ang intended beneficiaries ng subsidized rice program ng pamahalaan ay maaaring mag-register sa designated P20 outlets.
Kailangan lamang magpakita ng benepisyaryo ng valid identification cards para sa beripikasyon.
Magkakaroon ng QR code pagkatapos ng matagumpay na regisrtation na gagamitin naman sa pagbili ng P20 na bigas.
“The P20 Registry System link will be available for those who opt to register online by December 2025 through various platforms such as the eGov Portal, DA website, and DA Facebook page,” sinabi ni Flameño.
“This offers convenience to target beneficiaries as they can pre-register anytime, anywhere,” dagdag nito. RNT/JGC
