Manila, Philippines — Iginiit ni dating Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) chairman Greco Belgica na dapat humarap at magpaliwanag si dating Marikina 2nd District Rep. Stella Quimbo sa mga imbestigasyon ukol sa umano’y anomalya sa mga flood control projects.
Ayon kay Belgica, mahalaga ang partisipasyon ni Quimbo dahil siya ay miyembro ng bicameral conference committee at nagsilbing vice chairperson ng House Committee on Appropriations sa deliberasyon ng 2025 national budget.
“Why is Stella Quimbo absent from the flood control investigations and budget hearing? The ‘blank items’ in the 2025 GAA and the diversion of billions in flood control funds happened on her watch,” ani Belgica sa isang post.
“These funds, meant for Metro Manila flood projects, went to unspecified district initiatives instead. This budget has been labeled the most corrupt ever. Her voice is critical to the investigation.”
Aniya, dapat rin nakatuon ang imbestigasyon hindi lamang sa mga contractors at mga opisyal ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), kundi pati na rin sa mga lider ng Kongreso.
Suportado rin ang pananaw ni Belgica ng dating Justice Secretary Silvestre Bello III, na binanggit ang pangalan ni Quimbo at ni dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez bilang mga umano’y may kinalaman sa nasabing proyekto.
“Who do you think is the mastermind in this scam? Zaldy Co lang ito? Speaker (Romualdez) and iyong si Stella Quimbo. Iyan ang mga mastermind diyan,” ani Bello. RNT
