MANILA, Philippines – Naka-alerto ang Philippine National Police (PNP) para sa posibleng protesta sa US Embassy matapos ang pag-atake ng Amerika sa Venezuela.
“We are prepared for any protest action and similar activities. Our police units… are monitoring the situation in their respective areas and ready to respond to any eventuality,” ayon kay Acting PNP Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
“Our units are closely monitoring the US Embassy and other critical locations. We have police personnel on standby to ensure that these places will be orderly and peaceful,” dagdag niya.
Noong Sabado, nagsagawa ng atake ang US laban sa Venezuela at naaresto si Pangulong Nicolas Maduro para harapin ang kasong narcoterrorism sa New York.
Binigyang-diin ng Department of Foreign Affairs na dapat magpakita ng restraint ang lahat ng partido, habang ilang mambabatas Pilipino ang kumondena sa atake bilang “illegal invasion.” RNT/MND
