MANILA, Philippines – Inaprubahan ng makapangyarihang Commission on Appointments (CA) ang ad interim appointment at nominasyon ng 57 heneral, flag officer at senior officers ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Ayon kay Commission on Appointments Committee on National Defense chairperson Rep. Joboy Aquino II na nagpakita ang naturang opisyal ng kahusayan, integridad at liderato na kailangan ng military sa gitna ng pumapaimbulog na hamon sa seguridad.
“Though they represent diverse branches, these officers share a united unbreakable resolve to defend our territorial integrity and to safeguard the liberties of the Filipino people against all threats,” ani Aquino.
Idinagdag pa niya na sumailalim ang mga opisyal sa masusing pagsusuri at patuloy na nagpapakita ng exceptional tactical wisdom, unshakable integrity, and steadfast leadership.”
Bilang tugon ng minorya na pinamumuan ni Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano, sinabi ni Senador Joel Villanueva na walang pagtutol ang grupo sa kumpirmasyon ng naturang mga opisyal.
“The officers recommended for confirmation today have demonstrated, through years of disciplined service, the competence, professionalism, and integrity expected of leaders of the Armed Forces,” ani Villanueva.
Binanggit din niya ang dalawang opisyal na tubong Bulacan – sina Col. William Rodriguez at Col. Vladimir Gracilla—saka binati ang lahat ng kumpirmadong opisyal.
Samantala, sinabi ni Senador Raffy Tulfo na nagpahayag ng buong suporta sa kumpirmasyon ng mga naturang opisyal bilang pagkilala sa kanilang dedikasyon at paglilingkod.
“The confirmation of these officers today represents more than just an acknowledgment of their ranks, but also a recognition of their excellence in the field, their relentless commitment to our Constitution and their lifelong dedication to serving the Filipino people,” ani Tulfo.
Binati din niya ang kababaihang opisyal alinsunod sa pagdiriwang ng Women’s Month at Hinikayat nito ang bagong kumpirmadong opisyal na itaguyod ang pangako sa pagsisilbi nang may integridad.
