MANILA , Philippines — Hiniling ng Department of Justice (DOJ) kay Atty. Jimmy Bondoc na magbigay ng anumang impormasyon hinggil sa kinaroroonan ni Senador Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, sa gitna ng pagpapatupad ng warrant mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC).
Ayon sa panel of prosecutors ng DOJ, ginawa ang hakbang matapos sabihin ni Bondoc na posibleng alam niya ang kinaroroonan ng senador.
Sinabi ni Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida na pagkakataon ito para kay Bondoc na “cooperate with the legal processes and the proper service of the ICC (International Criminal Court) warrant.”
“With respect to his public representation, that he allegedly knows the whereabouts of Senator Ronald M. dela Rosa, I have directed the issuance of a formal letter asking him to provide the department with any information in his possession or available to him regarding the whereabouts or information leading to the location of Senator dela Rosa,” ayon kay Vida.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Bondoc sa isang panayam sa telebisyon na maaaring iparating ang arrest warrant sa mga abogado ni dela Rosa, kabilang siya, at sila na ang magpapasa nito sa senador.
“This is an opportunity for Atty. Bondoc to cooperate with legal processes and assist law enforcement authorities in the proper service of the ICC warrant,” dagdag pa ni Vida. RNT
