MANILA, Philippines – Nagtitiwala si House Prosecution Panel Adviser at Spokesperson Robert Ace Barbers na tatayo ang unang testigo ng prosekusyon na si National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Agent John Mark Calilung ang gagawing cross-examination ng defense panel sa ikatlong araw ng Senate impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Giit ni Barbers na nakahanda umano ang testo na depensahan ang mga ebidensya at presentasyon nito sa harap ng mga Senator-Judges gaya ng diumano’y “death threat video.”
“We are expecting that this witness will remain consistent so that we can have a balanced appreciation of the evidence and arrive at a fair and informed opinion. We are confident that he can clearly explain and defend the findings he presented before the impeachment court.”
Umaasa rin si Barbers na magkakaroon ng sapat na panahon upang maisalang na rin ang ikalawang testigo mula sa NBI.
Ang ikalawang NBI official na ihaharap ng prosekusyon ay siyang magpapatunay sa mga imbestigasyon at authentication na ginawa ni Agent Calilung.
“The second witness will certify the work undertaken by our first witness, Mr. Agent Calilung, and further establish the integrity of the investigation conducted by the NBI,” ani Barbers na hindi pa rin pinangalanan at binanggit ang pagkakakilanlan ng ikalawang testigo.
Ngayong alas 2:00 ng hapon ay magpapatuloy ang ikatlong araw ng impeachment trial at ang cross examination ng defense panel kay Agent Calillung. (Meliza Maluntag)
