MANILA, Philippines – Mag-iisyu na ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng cease-and-desist orders sa mga proyekto sa Taguig City na may kaugnayan sa umano’y iligal na reclamation works, ayon kay Senador Panfilo Lacson.
“This will prevent the worsening of the situation where government money is wasted on contractors who are doing the wrong thing,” sinabi ng senador sa panayam ng DZMM nitong Sabado, Agosto 15.
Ani Lacson, nakipagkita siya kay Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon, na “guaranteed that once he receives the PRA’s (Philippine Reclamation Authority) request to issue cease-and-desist orders, he will issue them immediately.”
Binanggit din niya ang mga findings sa ngayon na nagpakitang sakop ng reclamation activities sa Taguig City ang nasa 85 ektarya, at may banta sa ecosystem ng Laguna Lake kung saan ang mga basura na patungo sana sa landfill sa Rizal ay itatambak sa lawa. RNT/JGC
