MANILA, Philippines – Inalis ni Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla ang anumang security lapses sa bahagi ng Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) kung saan nangyari ang pamamaril na ikinasawi ng dalawang estudyante.
Sinusuportahan nito ang nadiskubre ng mga imbestigador na ang shooter ay pumasok sa Junior High School campus sa pamamagitan ng emergency exit.
Si Remulla ay nagtungo sa naturang paaralan sa Barangay Tumaga, Zamboanga City para inspeksyunin ang lugar kung saan nasawi ang Grade 10 studdent at ikinasugat naman ng iba pa, bago tuluyang nagbaril sa sarili ang shooter na Grade 8 student.
Aniya, ang shooter “was not bullied and had no connection with the slain student.”
“We determined that they did not know each other. The suspect was an exceptional student, intelligent, with straight 90s in his grades,” dagdag pa.
“There was no lapse on the part of Ateneo. They followed the law and checked the bags. The shooter simply found an opportunity,” pagpapatuloy ni Remulla.
Kinumpirma rin ng pulisya na ginamit ng suspek ang armas ng kanyang ama.
Ani Remulla, ang tatay ng estudyante na nagtatrabaho sa Bureau of Customs, ay nakikipagtulungan na sa mga awtoridad.
Samantala, sinabi pa ni Remulla na walang kasabwat ang estudyante sa pamamaril.
