MANILA, Philippines – Naglabas ng memorandum order si Defense Secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. para ipagbawal sa mga tauhan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Department of National Defense (DND) ang paggamit ng artificial intelligence (AI) image generator apps.
Sa memo na may petsang Oktubre 14, ipinaliwanag ni Teodoro na ang mga application na ito ay maaaring magdulot ng security risks.
“The online trending digital application that uses Artificial Intelligence, which requires its users to submit at least ten (10) photos of themselves to generate an enhanced portrait, poses significant privacy and security risks,” saad sa kautusan ni Teodoro.
Ipinaliwanag din niya na ang AI image generators ay maaaring gamitin para gumawa ng mga pekeng profile na magdudulot ng identity theft, social engineering phishing attacks at iba pang illegal na aktibidad.
“All DND and AFP personnel are directed to refrain from using Al photo generator applications, and practice vigilance in sharing information online,” ani Teodoro.
