MANILA, Philippines – Nakatakdang maglaan ang pamahalaan ng halagang P4.2 bilyon kada taon sa kapag naisabatas ang panukalang mandatory Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program ayon kay Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
“Kung mag [If it will] materialize, every year we’re going to budget ₱4.2B for uniforms alone for cadets,” ayon kay Dela Rosa, isponsor ng ROTC bill.
Sinabi ni Dela Rosa na dapat locally-sourced ang uniporme na tanggap ng Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI).
“The industry will be very very happy, they just want an assured market locally,” ayon kay PTRI Director Julius Leaño.
Ayon kay Dela Rosa, maaaring ibaba ng PTRI ang halaga ng uniporme.
