MANILA, Philippines- Binatikos ng Simbahang Katolika ang paggamit ng imahe ni Hesus bilang kausotan, na anito’y pagpapakita ng kawalang-galang.
Sinabi ni Fr. Jerome Secillano, executive secretary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines – Episcopal Commission on Public Affairs (CBCP-ECPA) na ang gawain na ipinost sa social media katumbas ng “pangungutya at pambabastos.”
“Dancing to the tune of a sacred and biblical prayer, with matching sacred costume to boot, is completely disrespectful not only of people and institutions practicing such faith but of God Himself,” sabi ng pari nitong Miyerkules.
Tinutukoy ng pari ay ang video kung saan makikita ang dating contestant ng Drag Den Philippines na si Pura Luka Vega na naka-makeup at naka-costume na kahawig ni Hesus habang nagpe-perform sa tono ng liturgical song na “Ama Namin” (Our Father).
May higit sa 13 milyong view, 7,551 likes, at 980 retweets ang post noong Hulyo 10.
Binanggit ni Secillano na ang mga indibidwal ay dapat na “labis na maingat” sa kanilang mga kilos, lalo na ang mga may kinalaman sa mga elemento ng relihiyon at pananampalataya.
