Cha-cha suportado ni Balisacan

MANILA, Philippines- Sinabi ni National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) Secretary Arsenio Balisacan na kailangang maging mas “competitive” ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagkalos ng “unnecessary” restrictions sa batas.

Sa Malacañang briefing, inihayag ni Balisacan ang suporta para sa economic Charter change (Cha-cha).

“For a long time that we need to make the country more competitive, we need to eliminate those restrictions, unnecessary restrictions, and foreign investments that we have a chance of attracting foreign investments,” wika ni Balisacan.

Ani Balisacan, nakita sa mga nakalipas na dekada kung gaano kalaki ang investments na pumapasok sa mga karatig-bansa.

“I think that our President has mentioned that the Constitution was designed for a period that perhaps not responsive to the current states of the world now,” pahayag ni Balisacan.

Sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nitong Martes na hindi nilikha ang 1987 Constitution para sa “globalized world,” at iginiit na kailangang magsagawa ng rebisyon.

Subalit, inihayag ni Balisacan na kailangan ding tugunan ang iba pang mahahalagang isyu.

“We need to address the ease of business issues that are always mentioned, the high cost of certain inputs like energy and the predictability of our policies, regulatory or otherwise,” anang opisyal. RNT/SA
