CHED may babala vs social media pages na nag-aalok ng ghostwriting services

MANILA, Philippines – Inihayag ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) na hindi nito inaaprubahan ang mga social media site na nag-aalok ng ghostwriting services para sa mga academic requirement.

Saad sa abiso na pirmado ni CHED Chairperson J. Prospero De Vera III noong Enero 10, binalaan ng ahensya ang publiko laban sa mga Facebook page at iba pang social media sites na nag-aalok ng writing services para sa mga essay, case studies at thesis kapalit ng bayad.

“The Commission on Higher Education cautions the public against Facebook pages and other social media sites purporting to offer ghostwriting services for essays, case studies, and theses for a fee. These pages are not in any way affiliated or approved by the Commission,” ayon sa CHED.

Sinabi pa ng ahensya na ang mga aktibidad na ito ay illegal at lumalabag sa Intellectual Property Code, Cybercrime Prevention Act, at iba pang batas.

Pwede rin umanong maparusahan ang mga estudyante na papatol sa mga ganitong alok na serbisyo, katulad ng academic dismissal o pagpapatalsik sa paaralan.

“The public is encouraged to report such illegal activities to the Commission as it may constitute a violation of the Intellectual Property Code, or the E-Commerce Act, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act, and or grounds for supervision, dismissal, expulsion, or exclusion of students,” pagtatapos ng CHED.
