Colombian nat’l tiklo sa P8.5M liquid cocaine

MANILA, Philippines- Nakumpiska ng anti-narcotics authorities ng mga awtoridad ang P8,522,400 halaga ng liquid cocaine nitong Martes ng gabi, kasunod ng pagkakaaresto sa isang Colombian sa isang controlled delivery operation sa Makati City.

Sinabi ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Luzon na nadakip ang 32-anyos na si Santiago Francisco Amado Sopo, na gumagamit ng alyas na Antonio Cordero, bandang alas- 9:30 ng gabi sa Barangay San Antonio kung saan 1,350 milligrams ng liquid cocaine ang nasabat.

Inihayag ng PDEA agents na naharang ang parcel na naglalaman ng illegal substances sa Port of Clark noong Hunyo 21, 2024. 

“The liquid cocaine originated in Colombia was concealed in a shipment that raised suspicions during routine inspection at the port. The discovery of the drugs prompted PDEA to launch a controlled delivery operation targeting the consignee in Makati City”, pahayag ng PDEA Central Luzon team leader.

“Recovered from the suspect were one brown box of three plastic bottle containers each containing liquid cocaine, two identification cards; one cellular phone,’’ dagdag nito.

Isinagawa ang operasyon ng pinagsanib na operatiba sa pangunguna ng PDEA Central Luzon, PDES IS, PDEA NCR, Bureau of Custom- Port of Clark, PNP AVSEC 3, Makati SDEU, Makati CPS.

Nahaharap si Sopo sa kasong paglabag sa Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) ng Republic Act (RA) 9165 kilala rin bilang “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002.’’ RNT/SA
