MANILA, Philippines – Nakatakdang magtungo sa Negros Oriental ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) upang magsagawa ng konsultasyon kaugnay sa postponement ng Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) sa Oktubre.
Ito ay ayon kay Comelec Chairman George Garcia matapos na bumisita si PNP Chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. sa Comelec.
Isa sa napag-usapan nina Garcia at Acorda ang BSKE at close coordination ng PNP sa Comelec kung saan magkakaroon pa umano ng command conference sa sususnod na araw.
“Sabi ko po kay Chief PNP samahan nya ako sa Negros when we conduct the consultation there re postponement(BSKE),” sinabi ni Garcia sa mga reporters sa viber message.
Plano rin niyang kausapin ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) upang samahan sila sa Negros.
“Ang he said yes immediately. I also intend to talk to the AFP Chief if he can join us there,” dagdag pa ng poll chief.
Sinabi ni Garcia na napag-usapan din ang mga patakaran ng Comelec sa halalan, ang plebisito sa Carmona at binati rin niya ang Chief PNP sa kanyang pagkakatalaga.
“We talked about BSKE. The policies of the Commission for this election. The Carmona plebiscite. And of course I congratulated him on his well-deserved appointment,” sabi pa ni Garcia. Jocelyn Tabangcura-Domenden
