MANILA, Philippines – Nakahanda ang Department of Agriculture (DA) na magbigay ng tulong sa mga lugar na maaring maapektuhan ng masamang panahon dulot ng Tropical Depression Dodong.
“The following assistance will be provided to the affected farmers and fishers: rice, corn and assorted vegetable seeds; drugs and biologics for livestock and poultry; survival and Recovery (SURE) Program of Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC); and Quick Response Fund (QRF) for the rehabilitation of affected areas,” ayon sa ahensya.
Ito, dahil ang mga pananim tulad ng palay at mais sa apat na rehiyon ay maaaring maapektuhan ng bagyo.
Base sa DA-Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) Operations Center bulletin, sinabing mahigit 700,000 ektarya sa Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon at Cordillera ang maaaring maapektuhan. RNT
