MANILA, Philippines – Itinanggi ng online shopping platform na Lazada ang ulat na nakompromiso ang datos ng nasa 18 milyong customer nito.
“Lazada Philippines firmly denies recent allegations of a data breach on the platform’s system,” saad sa pahayag ng naturang e-commerce platform.
“Following a thorough investigation, Lazada has confirmed that no customer information has been compromised,” dagdag pa.
Ang pahayag ng Lazada ay inilabas kasunod ng sinabi ng cybersecurity page Infosecdad na ibinibenta sa isang Chinese hacking forum ang mga rekord ng nasa 18 milyong customer kabilang ang pangalan, email at mga address.
Ayon sa Infosecdad, inalis na nila ang post na may kaugnayan sa Lazada dahil sumagot na ang naturang shopping platform.
“Upon close review, we have determined that the information shared in the post (by account name: Infosecdad) is completely false, and we have found no matches in our customer database,” anang Lazada.
“Lazada assures all users that the company employs stringent security measures to protect customer data. Regular audits and advanced security protocols are in place to prevent unauthorized access to users’ personal data.” RNT/JGC
