
JAKARTA, Indonesia- Nanawagan si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa member states ng ASEAN na ikasa ang Declaration on Combating Trafficking in Persons Caused by the Abuse of Technology ng regional bloc.
“We look forward to operationalizing the ASEAN Leaders’ Declaration on Combating Trafficking in Persons Caused by the Abuse of Technology,” pahayag ni Marcos sa kanyang intervention sa plenary session ng 43rd ASEAN Summit.
“As the Voluntary Lead Shepherd for the cooperation against trafficking in persons (TIP), the Philippines will continue to call for more concerted efforts in intensifying regional and international cooperation, especially in mobilizing resources to prevent and combat the abuse of technology in TIP,” dagdag niya.
Noong nakaraang linggo, sinabi ng Department of Foreign Affairs na mahigit 90 outcome documents ang target na mailabas, mai-adopt o mabanggit sa nasabing summits.
Kabilang umano sa key outcome documents ang mga sumusunod:

Deklarasyon ng ASEAN leaders sa pagpapaigting sa food security at nutrition bilang tugon sa krisis;

Individual joint statements sa pagpapalakas ng kooperasyon sa food security sa pagitan ng ASEAN, Australia, Canada, at India;

ASEAN guidelines sa proteksyon ng migrant workers at family members sa crisis situation;

Pahayag ng ASEAN leaders sa development ng digital economy framework agreement; at

ASEAN joint statement sa climate change sa 28th session ng Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
