MANILA, Philippines- Hinikayat ng mga guro ang concerned agencies na humahawak sa Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) na tiyakin na hindi na maantala ang paglalabas ng nasabing insentibo.
Naglabas ang Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Philippines at ang Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC) ng hiwalay na pahayag upang hikayatin ang concerned agencies sa paglalabas ng PBB na humanap ng mga paraan upang masiguro na maipamamahagi ito sa tamag oras.
Hiniling ng TDC na makipagpulong kay Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman upang maisumite nito ang mga rekomendasyon base sa “experiences” nito mula nang simulan ng pamahalaan ang pagbibigay ng PBB noong 2012.
“We believe that incentives like the PBB should be given to all qualified employees in a fair, timely, and easy manner,” anang TDC.
“The recurring delay caused by the complicated process remains the primary obstacle and the main reason why the wait for this PBB is a hardship rather than an exciting part,” dagdag ng grupo.
“We look forward to open and enhanced communication with the new DBM leadership.”
Samantala, inihirit naman ng ACT ang mga konkretong hakbang mula sa Department of Education (DepEd) “to rectify this unacceptable delivery” ng PBB.
Base sa mga grupo, ang 2021 PBB ay inilabas nitong buwan subalit para lamang sa mga guro sa Metro Manila. Kinukumbinsi nila ang mga ahensya na tiyakin ang agarang paglalabas ng insentibo sa mga guro sa ibang rehiyon.
Para sa mga grupo, hindi dapat maantala ang paglalabas ng 2022 PBB.
“Our teachers, who are all performing effectively, cannot afford to wait another two years for the PBB for FY 2022,” giit ng TDC. “The delay must be stopped,” patuloy niya.
Sinabi naman ng ACT na sa pagtatapos ng school year 2022-2023, dapat tiyakin ng DepEd na ang susunod na PBB ay hindi na muling made-delay.
“Our teachers deserve nothing less than timely benefits that acknowledge their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the noble cause of education,” anang ACT.
“The failure to fulfill their labor rights sends a distressing message that their contributions are of low importance,” dagdag nito.
“We urge the Department of Education to act responsibly, fulfill its obligations, and ensure the timely release of all teachers’ benefits like the PBB.” RNT/SA
