MANILA, Philippines- Hindi dapat palampasin at kailangang maghain ng diplomatic protest ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) laban sa China kaugnay sa panibagong “pauso” nito na ang Pilipinas ang siyang pumapasok sa Scarborough Shoal.
Ayon kay House Deputy Minority leader at ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro, binabaligtad na ng China ang Pilipinas ukol sa agawan ng teritoryo sa West Philippine Sea at hindi ito dapat na pinalalampas lang ng pamahalaan.
“Excuse me, it is the Chinese government who is intruding in our territory and exclusive economic zone (EEZ). Now they have the temerity to say that we need their permission for our fisherfolk to fish in our own waters,” pahayag ni Castro.
Ang pahayag ay ginawa ni Castro matapos akusahan ng Chinese Foreign Ministry ang Pilipinas na ito umano ang pumapasok sa Scarborough Shoal nang walang permiso.
Giit ni Castro, dapat ipakita ng DFA ang tapang ng bansa sa ganitong isyu at maghain ng diplomatic protest.
“We must stand firm against China’s attempts to undermine our sovereignty. The Philippine government must prioritize the welfare and interests of our people, especially our fisherfolk who heavily rely on the resources in Scarborough Shoal,” giit ni Castro.
Aniya, dapat gisingin ang China sa ilusyon nito dahil kung palalampasin lamang ay mas lalakas ang loob nito na angkinin ang teritoryo.
“China should wake up from its delusion and face reality. The Philippines has every right to protect its territorial integrity and ensure the welfare of its people. China has no right to dictate our actions within our own territory,” pagtatapos ni Castro. Gail Mendoza
