MANILA, Philippines – Tinintahan ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) nitong Martes, Mayo 30 ang memorandum of understanding (MOU) para sa e-governance to integrate information and communication technologies (ICT) sa higher education sector.
Sumasalamin ang MOU sa pagtutulungan ng CHED at DICT sa relevant at quality higher education sa pamamagitan ng integration ng DICT sa higher education sector.
“Today, our signing with CHED signifies a big transformation. With respect to many initiatives that your leadership looks forward in implementing under his term. And this is to bring about digitalization in the agency, to bring about easier transactions by the public with respect to state universities and colleges,” sinabi ni DICT Secretary Ivan Uy.
“To ensure better veracity of documents that are submitted to the organization, most especially I think the most critical is the diploma and the way that graduates can actually be validated by different SUCs,” dagdag pa niya.
Malugod namang tinanggap ni CHED chairperson Prospero De Vera ang inisyatibong ito ng DICT.
“We need to be able to integrate all the higher education institutions so that everyone moves along the same line having IT (Information Technology) solutions to make this [documents and diploma] available,” ayon kay De Vera.
“In higher education, there are many things that CHED and DICT can do together to help our students, faculty, employees, alumni, and other education stakeholders,” dagdag niya.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Uy na mas dadali pa ang transaksyon sa pamahalaan dahil sa e-governance, kabilang dito ang paggamit ng e-Gov Super App, na layong masiguro ang digitalisasyon sa government systems ng bansa.
