MANILA, Philippines- Nasa maayos na kalagayan na ang isa sa dalawang labis na nasugatang Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) sa sunog sa Kuwait, ayon kay Department of Migrant Workers chief Hans Leo Cacdac nitong Biyernes.
Subalit, sinabi ni Cacdac na nananatili ang isa pang OFW sa ICU subalit nagpakita ng “signs of improvement.”
“Re: our two OFWs injured in the Kuwait fire, one who was in ICU then transferred to a hospital ward has been released and is now in company accommodation,” saad sa post ni Cacdac sa X (dating Twitter).
“The other OFW who is still in ICU has shown signs of improvement and we hope and pray he is on the road to full recovery,” dagdag ng opisyal.
Tatlong OFWs ang nasawi kasunod ng sunog na sumiklab sa isang residential building sa timog ng Kuwait City noong Hunyo 12.
Sa kabuuan, 49 indibidwal ang namatay sa insidente. RNT/SA
