‘Dodong’ nag-landfall na sa Dinapigue, Isabela; Signal No. 1 umiiral sa 15 lugar

MANILA, Philippines- Nananatili ang 15 lugar sa ilalim ng Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 sa pagbuhos ni Tropical Depression Dodong sa Dinapigue, Isabela nitong Biyernes ng umaga, ayon sa PAGASA.

Sa 5 a.m. bulletin, inihayag ng PAGASA na hanggang nitong alas-4 ng umaga, ang sentro ni Dodong ay tinatayang nasa bisinidad ng San Mariano, Isabela na may maximum sustained winds na 45 kilometers pear hour malapit sa sentro, gustiness hanggang 55 km/h, at central pressure na 1000 hPa.

Patungo si Dodong sa direksyong west northwestward sa bilis na 15 km/h na may malakas na hangin palabas hanggang 180 km mula sa sentro, base sa PAGASA.

Itinaas ang TCWS No. 1 sa mga sumusunod na lugar:

• Cagayan

• Isabela

• Quirino

• Nueva Vizcaya

• Apayao

• Kalinga

• Abra

• Mountain Province

• Ifugao

• Benguet

• Ilocos Norte

• Ilocos Sur

• La Union

• Hilagang bahagi ng Pangasinan (San Nicolas, San Manuel, Sison, San Fabian, Pozorrubio, Bolinao, Bani, City of Alaminos, Sual, Labrador, Lingayen, Agno, Binmaley, Dagupan City, San Jacinto, Mangaldan, Anda)

• Hilaga at gitnang bahagi ng Aurora (Maria Aurora, San Luis, Baler, Dipaculao, Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag)

Ayon sa PAGASA, ang wind speed ni Dodong ay naglalaro sa 39 to 61 km/h (Beaufort 6 to 7) na may minimal to minor threat of the impacts sa buhay at ari-arian.

Iniulat ng PAGASAna inaasahan ang 50-100 mm accumulated rainfall ngayong Biyernes sa Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, La Union, Pangasinan, at hilagang bahagi ng Aurora.

“Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps and in localities that experienced considerable amounts of rainfall for the past several days,” sabi ng state weather bureau.

Magiging maulan sa Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, at hilagang bahagi ng Aurora dahil kay Dodong, ayon sa PAGASA. 

Samantala, makararanas ang Metro Manila, CALABARZON, at MIMAROPA, at natitirang bahagi ng Central Luzon ngmonsoon rains dahil kay Dodong at southwest monsoon o Habagat.

Magkakaroon ng minimal to minor impacts mula sa malakas na hangin sa mga lugar kung saan umiiral ang Signal No. 1.

“In the next 24 hours, Dodong and the enhanced southwest monsoon may bring moderate to rough seas over the eastern (1.5 to 2.5 m) and western (2.0 to 3.5 m) seaboards of Northern Luzon, and the western seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon (2.0 to 3.5 m),” ulat ng PAGASA.

“Mariners of small seacrafts are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea. If inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels, avoid navigating in these conditions,” dagdag ng ahensya.

“Although not captured in the track forecast, the tropical depression may initially track northwestward or north northwestward over Cagayan Valley for the next 6 hours before turning more west northwestward or westward and emerging over the waters west of Ilocos Region,” sabi pa ng ahensya.

Patuloy na kikilos si Dodong pa-northwestward saWest Philippine Sea at lalabas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) sa Sabado o Linggo.

Posibleng tukuyin si Dodong sa tropical storm category bukas o sa Linggo ng umaga sa paglabas nito sa PAR. RNT/SA
