MANILA, Philippines – Maglalagay ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ng mga satellite office sa 21 mga mall ng SM, partikular na sa Government Service Express Centers.
Ito ay upang mapalawak umano ang kanilang serbisyo, ayon kay Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian kasabay ng pagpirma nito kasama si SM Supermalls president Steven Tan ng memorandum of agreement (MOA) para rito.
Maliban sa mga satellite offices, layon din ng MOA na ipagamit ng SM ang even places at spaces nito ng libre para sa DSWD.
Ayon sa kagawaran, skaop nito ang pagbibigay ng venue para sa operasyon, pre-positioning efforts sa disaster response at pagpapasilidad ng clearance at issuance.
Pumayag din ang SM na gamitin ng DSWD ang mga channel nito para sa information dissemination.
