MANILA, Philippines- Isinailalim ang EDSA Busway, ang dedicated median bus lane sa “busiest thoroughfare” ng bansa, sa monitoring ng Bus Management and Dispatch System (BMDS) ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr).
Sa abiso sa social media, inihayag ng DOTr na matitiyak sa monitoring ng BMDS ng MMDA na maayos ang pangangasiwa sa biyahe ng mga bus na magreresulta sapagluwag ng daan.
“Through the partnership with MMDA, this innovative system will improve the commuters’ experience by introducing a more systematic monitoring of the number of units plying the EDSA Busway,” saad sa abiso.
Sinabi ng DOTr na magreresulta rin ang partnership sa comprehensive driver monitoring, dahil mai-scan ng dispatching officers ng MMDA sa Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) at sa Monumento ang unique QR codes ng mga driver.
“This grants access to crucial information, including unsettled violations, ensuring a high level of accountability,” anito.
Inihayag ng DOTr noong Disyembre ang planong isapribado ang operasyon ng EDSA Bus Carousel ngayong taon, at sinabing mag-iimbita ito ng mga partido sa bidding ng concession agreement. RNT/SA
