Ex-Antique mayor, bagong SBMA chief

MANILA, Philippines- Pinangasiwaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang panunumpa ng tatlong opisyal na mamumuno sa iba’t ibang government agencies, ayon sa Presidential Communications Office nitong Miyerkules.

Sa seremonya sa Malacañang, nanumpa sa harap ni Marcos si dating Pandan, Antique mayor Jonathan Tan bilang bagong chairperson at administrator ng Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

Pinalitan ni Tan si dating SBMA chief Rolen Paulino, na nagbitiw sa pwesto noong April 15, 2023 nang hindi nakukumpleto ang kanyang six-year term.

Ipinaliwanag ni Paulino na bumaba siya sa kanyang pwesto “to give the President a free hand to choose who he deems best to steer the SBMA to greater heights in terms of management and new business opportunities.”

Nanumpa rin sa seremonya sina Margarita Gutierrez bilang undersecretary ng Department of the Interior and Local Government at Amable Aguiluz V bilang Special Envoy for Trade and Investments ng Pilipinas sa Japan. RNT/SA
