MANILA, Philippines- Ipinatawag ang dating empleyado ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) sa central office ng ahensya sa Quezon City matapos akusahan ng pambu-bully sa isang delivery rider sa road rage incident sa Bulacan na nag-viral sa social media.
Sinabi ni LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II na agad niyang ippinag-utos na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon matapos mapanood ang video kung saan makikita ang pag-agaw ni Gregorio Glean, na armado umano nang maganap ang insidente noong Aug. 11, ang cellphone ng rider at ihagis ito sa daan.
Makikita rin sa video ang pag-alis ng LTO officer, kung saan naiwan ang emosyonal na rider sa tabi ng daan. Nagpatulong din siya sa mga pulis kasunod ng insidente.
“As soon as I watched the video, I immediately instructed the Regional Director of LTO-Region 3 to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, especially that there was an allegation that the motorist involved is connected with the LTO,” pahayag ni Mendoza.
Sa nasabing imbestigasyon, napag-alaman na si Glean ay dating Job Order sa Driver’s Licensing and Renewal Office ng San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
“I expect him to honor the summon. Failure to do so means that he is waiving his right for all the measures that we would take against him not only as a driver’s license holder but also a former LTO personnel who is supposed to be a model of courtesy and discipline on the road,” pahayag ni Mendoza.
“Based on the report submitted to my office, this man has long been removed from the LTO before this incident happened. But we will take more actions against him in connection with his abusive behavior on the road,” pagtitiyak niya.
Sa ulat na isinumite kay Mendoza, sinabi ng LTO Region 3 na nag-isyu na ng Show Cause Order kay Glean at nagsagawa na ng hearing sa kaso, at naipadala na ang resulta sa LTO Central Office Intelligence and Investigation Division.
Tiniyak ni Mendoza ang due process sa pagsasagawa ng legal proceedings kaugnay ng driver’s license ni Glean at sa motor vehicle registration ng sasakyang ginamit sa insidente.
Ayon pa kay Mendoza, iimbitahan nila ang delivery rider bilang witness sa imbestigasyon ng insidente, at makikipag-ugnayan umano sila sa local police force para sa anumang legal action na maaaring ikasa ng delivery rider. RNT/SA
