Ground breaking sa Camp Aguinaldo subway station, idinaos

MANILA, Philippines – Idinaos kasama ng transportation officials nitong Lunes, Pebrero 13 ang ground breaking ceremony para sa Camp Aguinaldo underground station at tunnel ng Metro Manila Subway project (MMSP).

Ang groundbreaking activities ay kasama sa Contract Package 103 ng MMSP, sakop ang Camp Aguinaldo at Anonas stations at tunnels, na sinuportahan ng pamahalaan ng Japan sa pamamagitan ng Japan international Cooperation Agency (JICA).

“Today is another critical step towards that aspiration towards the convenience and comfort of Filipino commuters towards a transport infrastructure that catalyzes economic rebound,” sinabi ni Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista.

“The socio-economic benefits of the MMSP even exceeds our expectations,” dagdag niya.

Noong Marso 2018 at Pebrero 2022 ay tinintahan ng Pilipinas ang dalawang utang sa Japan para sa proyektong ito, ¥104.53 billion o P47.58 billion at karagdagang ¥253.31 billion o P112.87 billion.

“In the near future, Filipinos will be able to enjoy a comfortable and convenient subway system equipped with cutting-edge Japanese technology,” sinabi naman ni Japanese Minister Nihei Daisuke na naroon din sa groundbreaking ceremony.

Ang unang bahagi ng MMSP ay inaprubahan ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) noong 2017, at inaasahang makukumpleto sa 2025 kung saan tatawirin nito ang walong lungsod mla Valenzuela hanggang FTI-Bicutan sa Parañaque City, na may spur line connection patungong Terminal 3 ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) sa Pasay City.
