MANILA, Philippines- Nakapagtala ang Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) ng P6.8 bilyong gross premiums written (GPW) sa non-life insurance business nito para sa 2022.
Ayon sa GSIS nitong Lunes, ito ang pinakamataas na naitala ng ahensya. Mas mataas ito ng 15% higher mula sa P5.9 bilyon noong 2021.
“I commend the men and women of GSIS who made this achievement possible. During my oathtaking as head of GSIS in July 2022, one of the marching orders that President (Ferdinand) Marcos (Jr.) gave me was to provide insurance cover to all government properties. And we have been making headways in complying with the president’s directive,” pahayag ni GSIS president at general manager Wick Veloso.
Nakapagtala rin ang GSIS ng 33% o P1 bilyong increase sa net premium written nito noong 2022 o P4 bilyon mula sa P3 bilyon noong 2021.
Sinabi nito na ang GSIS ang “biggest non-life insurer” sa bansa sa net worth nitong P41 bilyon.
Inilunsad ni Veloso, kasama ang concerned teams, ang agresibong kampanya sa buolng bansa at “tripled GSIS’s efforts in marketing its non-life insurance products.”
Nakikipagpulong din siya sa local government officials para kumbinsihin sila na i-insure ang kanilang ari-arian sa GSIS. RNT/SA
