MANILA, Philippines – Magsisimula nang tuamnggap ng aplikasyon para sa gun van exemption sa susunod na buwan ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) kaugnay sa Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) sa Oktubre.
Sa inilabas na Comelec Resolution 10918 nitong Sabado, sinabi ng poll body na ang nasabing aplikasyon para sa issuance ng Certificate of Authority para payagang magdala ng mga baril ay dapat na elektronikong ihain sa Committee on the Ban on Firearms and Security Concerns (CBFSC) mula Hunyo 5 hanggang Nob. 15.
“Filing of applications shall be made through electronic means taking advantage of the current information technology advancements, adopting the principle of efficient government service delivery, addressing the geo-logistical challenges in some regions, and for mutual safety under the new normal,” saad sa resolution na ipinahayag noong Mayo 17.
Ang paghahain ay maaaring gawin sa pamamagitan ng website ng Comelec sa www.comelec.gov.ph.
Exempted naman sa gun ban ang President, Vice President, Chief Justice ng Supreme Court, ang Senate President; lahat ng incumbent senators; House of Representatives Speaker; lahat ng miyembro ng House; justices ng SC, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, at Court of Tax Appeals .
Kasama rin sa exempted ang lahat ng judges ng regional, municipal, at metropolitan trial courts; Ombudsman, Deputy Ombudsman, at investigators at prosecutors ng Ombudsman; ang prosecutor general, chief state prosecutor, state prosecutors, at prosecutors ng Department of Justice; at opisyal at ahente ng National Bureau of Investigation.
