MANILA, Philippines – Shoot sa worst dishes in the world ng Taste Atlas, isang “encyclopedia of flavors” publication, ang mga Pinoy foods na hotsilog at kinalas sa 100 worst-rated dishes in the world.
Sa inilabas na ulat, nasa ika-17 pwesto ang kinalas sa 2.4 na ranking habang ang hotsilog naman ay nasa ika-36 na pwesto sa 2.6 score.
Maliban dito, nakasama rin sa kumpletong listahan ng worst-rated dishes in the world ng Taste Atlas ang Pinoy-style spaghetti at balut.
Ang Filipino-style spaghetti ay tinukoy ng Taste Atlas na “sweet, combining the noodles with ground meat, hot dogs, banana ketchup, and sugar” hindi gaya ng sa Italian version.
Samantala, ang balut naman ay isang “popular, although unusual Filipino delicacy, served everywhere from street stalls to upscale restaurants. It is a duck egg that has been hard-boiled, fertilized, and incubated. Traditionally, the cooked embryo is consumed straight from the shell.”
Ilang araw bago inilabas ang resulta ng pag-aaral ng Taste Atlas, inanunsyo naman ang bibingka na isa sa 100 best cakes in the world. RNT/JGC
