MANILA, Philippines- Ilang kalsada sa Metro Manila ang binaha nitong weekend, dahil sa patuloy na pagpapalakas ni Severe Tropical Storm Chedeng (international name: Guchol) sa Southwest Monsoon.
Kabilang sa mga daan na binaha nitong Linggo ang M.H. Del Pilar Street sa Malabon, Barangay Arkong Bato sa Valenzuela, at Araneta Avenue at E. Rodriguez Avenue sa Quezon City.
Samantala, sinabi ni Infectious Disease Expert Dr. Rontgene Solante na dapat na patuloy na sumunod sa public health safety protocols para makaiwas sa anumang sakit na dulot ng ulan.
“They have to monitor themselves sa mga lagat nila. There is also an antibiotic prophylaxis for leptospirosis that within six to eight hours to 24 hours, dapat pupunta na sila sa mga health center to get the prophylaxis,” aniya.
“Ang manifestation ng flu is just like COVID-19 — ubo, lagnat, tapos masakit ang lalamunan, masakit ang katawan, and most of the time, the duration is three to five days but in vulnerable populations, it can proceed to pneumonia,” dagdag ng eksperto. RNT/SA
