GAZA CITY – Nangako ang International Labor Organization (ILO) na magbibigay ito ng tulong sa mga komunidad na apektado ng nagpapatuloy na gulo sa Middle East.
Sinabi ni ILO Director-General Gilbert Houngbo nitong Sabado, Oktubre 28 na ang grupo ay nakikipagtulungan sa iba pang international organizations para tumulong sa mga taong apektado ng giyera sa pagitan ng Israel at Hamas sa Gaza.
“The ILO stands ready to continue working with other UN agencies, the international community, and our partners to assist and support the impacted communities, within the terms of our mandate,” sinabi ni Houngho sa isang press release.
Ang ILO ay kasalukuyang nagbibigay ng emergency assistance sa Palestinian workers na nahaharap sa mahirap na sitwasyon at nagsisikap na makapaglagay ng programa na tututok sa social protection, skills, jobs at small business recovery.
Ani Houngbo, partikular nilang tinututukan ang sitwasyon ng nasa 20,000 Gazan daily workers sa Israel.
