TULOY pa rin ang lahat ng programa ng Israel kasama ang Pilipinas sa kabila ng nagpapatuloy na giyera sa Hamas.
Sinabi ni Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss na walang balak ang Israel an suspendihin ang anumang mga programa nito kasama ang Pilipinas partikular na ang kasalukuyang “agricultural cooperation” na mayroon ito sa bansa.
”There are still [agricultural] students in Israel. I know that all of them have been visited both by the organizers of the program, of the internship program. They’ve been visited also by the embassy,” ayon kay Fluss.
”To the best of my understanding, they are not sort of, they’re still there, and they’re not being repatriated back to the Philippines. I don’t think there is a request [for repatriation],” dagdag na wika nito.
Sa ngayon, hindi pa rin aniya tinitingnan ng Israeli government ang epekto sa ekonomiya ng giyera sa Hamas na nagresulta sa pagkasawi ng 1,400 katao sa Israel at 6,500 naman sa Gaza.
Tiniyak din nito na hindi apektado ng giyera ang lahat ng ports o daungan sa karagatan at himpapawid at maging ang commercial activities ay hindi rin apektado.
“So the infrastructure for the continuation of the functioning of the Israeli economy and trade between countries is still completely operational,” ayon kay Fluss.
“It’s too early to say now. I don’t see major direct impacts on the bilateral trades, but we’re still also doing some more analysis,” aniya pa rin. Kris Jose
