MANILA, Philippines- Nagdesisyon ang House of Representatives panel na bigyan ng zero confidential funds ang civilian agencies ng pamahalaan tulad ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Department of Education (DepEd).
Inanunsyo ni Marikina 2nd District Rep. Stella Quimbo sa press briefing nitong Martes na bukod sa OVP at DepEd, wala ring ilalaang secret funds para sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), at Department of Agriculture (DA).
Ayon kay Quimbo, ibibigay ang confidential funds na inihirit ng nasabing government offices sa mga ahensya na nasa orefront ng pagprotekta sa West Philippine Sea at pagpapanatili ng kaayusan at kapayapaan sa bansa.
Ipinatupad ang desisyong kalusin ang secret funds ng OVP, DepEd, DICT, DFA, at DA ng small committee ng Kamara na inatasang resolbahin ang individual amendments sa proposed 2024 national budget. RNT/SA
