MANILA, Philippines- Lampas sa target ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ang koleksyon nito noong nakaraang buwan.
Sinabi ng BIR nitong Martes na nakakolekta ito ng P273.134 bilyo noong Hulyo, na higit sa collection target nito ng 5.09% o P13.224 bilyon para sa period.
Gayundin, mas mataas ng 38.37%o or P75.744 bilyon ang July collection ng bureau kumpara sa koleksyon nito sa parehong buwan noong nakaraang taon.
Mula January hanggang July, nakakalap ang BIR ng kabuuang P1.492 trilyon.
Para sa kabuuang taon, target ng BIR na makakolekta ng P2.639 trilyon, mas mataas ng 12.99% o P303.5 bilyon sa actual collection nito noong 2022.
“With the intensification of the Bureau’s tax enforcement activities, specifically on the campaign against sellers and buyers of fake receipts, and with our newly-forged partnership with multi-sectoral groups for the enhancement of taxpayers’ service, we are confident that the BIR can attain, if not surpass, its annual collection target this year,” pahayag ni BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. RNT/SA
