MANILA, Philippines- Inirekomenda ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) sa Land Transportation Office to na suspendihin ang driver’s license ng jeepney driver na nangdiskrimina sa isang pasahero dahil sa kanyang timbang.
Batay sa ulat, inirekomenda ito ng LTFRB Board alinsunod sa Land Transportation and Traffic Code.
Dagdag pa, papatawan din ng LTFRB ang driver at ang jeepney operator ng P15,000 multa.
“The act of the driver and his conductor is not only abominable but has no place in a civilized society. The degradation and humiliation suffered by the complainant, coupled with the brazen admission and unapologetic behavior of the driver and his conductor, deserved a scant penalty from this office,” anang LTFRB Board.
Nauna nang naghain ang 29-anyos na pasahero ng reklamo LTFRB matapos umano sing pababain ng tsuper dahil sa pagiging overweight.
Ayon pa sa pasahero, sinisi rin siya ng driver at asawa nito sa pagka-flat ng gulong ng sasakyan. RNT/SA
