MANILA, Philippines – Umabot sa 200 na pag-uusap ang nangyari sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at mga kompanya ng Japan sa 5-day official visit ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
“In the morning of the first day, our Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Pascual reported that the business matching event that DTI arranged for 85 Philippine companies yielded more than 255 meetings with Japanese counterparts,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos sa isinagawang high-power luncheon at networking event ng mga pangunahing Japanese business organizations, araw ng Biyernes, Pebrero 10.
Sinabi ng Pangulo na sinamahan siya ng grupo ng 114 negosyante “whose activities span the whole gamut of Japan-centric business opportunities —manufacturing, construction, real estate, retail, food service, trading, telecommunications, aviation, recruitment, mining, and agribusiness.”
Sinaksihan din ni Pangulong Marcos ang paglagda sa 35 investment deals sa larangan ng imprastraktura, enerhiya, manufacturing, at healthcare na sinelyuhan sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Japanese government at iba’t ibang kompanya.
Ipinagmalaki rin ng Pangulo ang malakas na macroeconomic fundamentals, liberal investment reforms, at infrastructure program ng Pilipinas.
Hinikayat ng Pangulo ang mga Japanese businessmen na mamuhunan sa bansa.
“As we go along our development journey, I invite all of you to continue and enhance that partnership. When you ‘think growth, think Philippines’ so that together, we will reap the benefits of robust, sustainable, and inclusive growth for our businesses and for our peoples,” ang wika ng Pangulo sa kanyang naging talumpati sa Philippine Business Opportunities Forum sa Japan.
