BACOLOD CITY- Nagbigay ang Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) ng claim benefits sa mga pamilya ng mga guro ng Paglaum Village Elementary School sa lungsod na ito na sakay ng naaksidenteng bus sa Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental noong Hunyo 14.
“The GSIS is committed to ensure that their benefits are processed swiftly, offering relief during this difficult time,” pahayag ni GSIS President at General Manager Wick Veloso nitong Biyernes.
Patay ang isang guro habang kabilang ang 31 co-teachers sa 37 sugatan matapos bumaligtad ang isang Bacolod city government-owned bus sa Barangay Igmaya-an dahil sa pagpalya ng preno habang nasa biyahe pauwi mula sa team-building event sa Sipaway Island, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Ani Veloso, maaaring makatanggap ang dependents ng nasawing guro ng death, survivorship, funeral, at personal accident insurance benefits.
Dagdag niya, makakukuha naman ang mga sugatang guro ng medical reimbursement sa pamamagitan ng kanilang personal accident insurance at maaari rin silang maghain ng employee’s compensation claim kaugnay ng aksidente.
“The GSIS is closely working with the Department of Education (DepEd) to ensure these claims are released promptly,” pahayag ni Veloso. RNT/SA
