MANILA, Philippines – Itinalaga bilang acting director ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) nitong Biyernes, Hulyo 7, ang datign pinuno ng Philippine Nation Police (PNP) Directorate for Intelligence Police na si Brigadier General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
Pinalitan niya si Police Major Edgar Alan Okubo, na ngayon ay magsisilbi nang director ng PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR).
Sinaksihan ni PNP chief Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr. ang turnover ceremony sa Camp Bagong Diwa sa Taguig City.
Sa speech kasabay ng seremonya, nagbabala si Nartatez sa mga tiwaling pulis na agad itong tutugunan ng PNP.
“Those treading on the wrong side of the straight and narrow path of proper public service: Don’t get me wrong. It is not going to be business as usual,” aniya.
Ipinag-utos din nito sa mga opisyal ng NCRPO na magkaroon ng contact sa mga kapitan ng barangay upang masiguro ang pag-abot nito sa mga komunidad.
“The role of the NCRPO in achieving this objective is to guarantee freedom from crime and freedom from the fear of crime in the country’s capital,” sinabi pa ni Nartatez. RNT/JGC
