MANILA, Philippines – Siniguro ng Department of Foreign Affairs na iuuwi ang labi ng isang overseas Filipino worker na nasawi sa delubyong magnitude 7.8 na lindol sa Türkiye.
Nauna nang naiulat na dalawang Pilipino ang nasawi sa lindol.
“As requested by the daughter and with consent of the husband, the embassy is arranging the immediate repatriation of the body of Wilma Abulad Tezcan, an OFW whose identity has been previously reported by the media,” ayon sa Philippine Embassy sa Ankara, na siyang kapitolyo ng Türkiye.
“For our kababayan [compatriot] married to a Turkish national, her family is seeking consent from her husband regarding the treatment of her human remains,” patungkol naman ng DFA sa isang pang casualty.
