MANILA, Philippines – Nakipagpulong si DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire sa World Bank para sa pagpapabuti ng paghahatid ng health at nutrition services at i-highlights ang kahalagahan ng equity at access para sa universal health care (UHC).
Kasama ni Vergeire ang iba pang opisyal ng ahensya nang pangunahan ang pagpupulong sa World Bank upang talakayin ang mga istratehiya sa pagpapatupad ng World Bank Technical Mission, isang inisyatiba na sumusuporta sa iba’t ibang proyektong pinondohan ng World Bank na ipinatutupad ng Department of Health.
Umikot ang talakayan sa Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project, Philippine COVID-19 Emergency Response Project, at Local Health Systems para sa Universal Health Care.
Sa pagpupulong, binigyang-diin ni Vergeire ang marami at malalaking kontribusyon ng World Bank sa pagtugis ng Department of Health sa Universal Health Care.
